IIR Bridging Course in Reflexology

Booking your place on an IIR Diploma course is very easy: Only the deposit is required to secure your place.

Course fees include the City & Guilds fees.

The fees for the training days are payable on the days attended by any of the following methods: Online from this site via PayPal, credit or debit cards, cheque or cash. Fees can be paid in advance giving the applicant a £100 discount.

Student Insurance
Student membership and insurance is required with either the Association of Reflexologists (£36.00) or Professional Reflexology (£25.00). This is included in the IIR Diploma fee.

First Aid at Work
Before you are awarded your Diploma from the IIR you will be required to complete a First Aid at Work day. These can be arranged with your group and tutor or you can attend nearer to your home. It must be one of the recognised providers holding the course so check with the tutors before booking. It is essential you know the basics to enable you to care for a client should it be required whilst they are in your care.

Course Materials
The following materials are included as part of your course fee:

  • Better Health by Dwight C Byers
  • Stories the Feet Can Tell/Have Told by Eunice Ingham
  • DVD of practical techniques
  • Anatomy & Physiology Book
  • A1 Foot Chart
  • A4 Foot and Hand Chart
  • All handouts in an acceptable format (Paper, CD or Email PDF)

Other requirements are a LaFuma chair for clients with towel and carry bag and these are available to order from the IIR UK at a cost of £165.00 for the set. With the exception of our London venue, chair sets will be brought to the first days training. It is essential to work comfortably and in the best possible position to prevent bad posture. For this we recommend these chairs wherever possible.

Additional Items
Additional items that you will need are:

  • Note Book
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • A4 folders and dividers for course materials are essential
  • Highlighter pens are very useful to save writing up notes or as reminders for essential knowledge

For the practical work please bring:

  • Wipes and/or hand gel
  • 2 white hand towels
  • Pillow (to put the feet on)
  • Calendula powder is sometimes required depending on your hands and the client's feet. This can be purchased in class or from our online shop.

Dress Code
As a professional organisation certain standards are expected:

  • Smart trousers or skirt (No jeans)
  • White top of your choice
  • Sensible footwear
  • Wedding rings are acceptable but other rings are best removed and left at home for safe keeping. Other jewellry will hinder your work or may catch clients skin.
  • We are teaching a professional course and this enhances the attitude towards the work.
